Oh, absolutely. If they don't continue to address it, I'll be very disappointed. But in the end, that's not what I object to about the movie--it's the plot holes. And the fact that many of them could have been dealt with with minor effort, without substantially altering the plot. (Did they ever explain why they had to use cadets for all the starships? How could they have so many ships near Earth, and no experienced people to crew them? 'Cause it wasn't just Enterprise being crewed by cadets--it was all the ships.)
