Em, I don't have words for how wonderful this story is. I was in tears at the end, happy ones, for the perfection of this story. I loved every single word of it ... the realism of the relationships, the deeply personal difficulties of relationships, the way the characters had such deep feelings, particularly John, who is occasionally portrayed as being emotionless and repressed .... you made me ache for him, love him, want to slap him upside the head on occasion! And Cam ... I love Cam. He's the emotional center of this, isn't he? Drawing John in with his love, embracing Alex. Winning Dave over.

Lorne whump! I love you. John's acknowledgement of how deep his feelings for his team are and always will be, and Alex giving Lorne the whale .... so sweet.

Your writing is always emotionally pitch-perfect, and this story was your best. Which is saying a lot since all of your stories are wonderful.
