Oh, I *like* this, and you absolutely nail the point I tried to make (albeit never explicitly) when I wrote Brendan in the Red Ribbon AU as John and Cam's biological child. It's a fantasy, wish-fulfillment. The impossibility of gay couples to have children who are genetically both of theirs.
Which is an interesting contrast to how I feel about the Wayne kids over in Batman comics, where I feel the non-biological children have an equal or even *greater* claim on Bruce/Batman than Bruce's one biological child has. (Which I have to *also* compare to the Supers, where Clark seems to be all about Kryptonian blood even though he was adopted himself.)
