Flashpoint and Avengers quotes

In my on-going watching of random shows I can get cheaply on Amazon, I'm onto Flashpoint, which is about a SWAT/negotiation team in I think Canada (mainly because I've also been watching Rookie Blue, which is definitely set in Canada, and this show is like a rolling roster of Rookie Blue actors).

What I like best about it? There's an episode where it turns out a police officer, not one of the team, is beating his wife, and they end up arresting him. He's brought in by one of their officers who's just told the victim that his wife was abused by her first husband, and there's a degree of all of them being angry about what he did. But no-one hits him, pushes him around, pulls his cuffs too tight, "accidentally" smacks his head on a low door, all of which I've seen good guys do on other shows. I love that the guys who exist to shoot people if necessary don't use any kind of violence or force, because they're the good guys. I like a show with good guys who are good, no 'it's okay because it's for the greater good' or whatever.

And on a totally different note, I want a Black Widow hoodie and can't find one, so I'm going to create my own once I actually get around to buying a black hoodie to do it with. I want to put widow bites on the wrists, and an Avengers symbol on the front, and I'm not sure what goes on the back, but I want to include a good Black Widow quote. I'm also thinking about doing a Hawkeye version, once I figure out what that would include.

So: what are your quintessential Black Widow or Hawkeye quotes?

The scene on the helicarrier is where most of fandom's fav BlackHawk quotes come from? That and the Loki interrogation (love is for children) and the Budapest exchange (don't get fandom's obsession with Budapest tbh).

Flashpoint is fabulously Canadian, and one of the markers is its awesomely sunny outlook on good and evil. I love it.

Yes, this! I love FLashpoint so much for this! And for the fact that they actually act like professionals!

Flashpoint spends a couple seasons trying to pretend that it's not really Canadian, because CBS didn't think Americans would watch a show set in Canada, but eventually they just give up and embrace their northern ways. They even stop pretending that they're a generic Canadian city instead of Toronto after a while.

Those are some of my favourite things about Flashpoint: very little glorification of violence, there isn't one set of rules for them and one set for everyone else, and actions have consequences. Team One is what I'd like all cops to be, attitude-wise. Now if only they were!

I want a Black Widow hoodie and can't find one

The only Black Widow shirt I can find is a comic-verse shirt that looks like she should be getting ready for a gynecological exam. Good luck making your hoodie!

By the way, that red hourglass logo on her gloves in this picture is the Black Widow's insignia. I'm not saying you ABSOLUTELY MUST use it in place of or with the Avengers logo, obviously (your hoodie, your call!), but just letting you know it exists should you want to use it in any fashion.
