Well, you know, John's not the most in-touch-with-his-feelings guy in the world, anyway, but I think they know there's a pretty deep lovel of caring, just neither of them ever really think about it much.

Tell me about it - I had an idea for a scene in the story I was writing, and forgot it before I'd even finished the sentence I was on. Clearly my brain is turning to mush!
