Need to Know (The Have to Ask Remix) (http://10pmpacifictime.livejournal.com/104139.html)
I love David in that, he's so laid back about the big revelation (apart from wanting to knock some sense into Colby).
I honestly don't think David cares that much about Colby being gay beyond the knee-jerk reaction. It's the lying and the implicit mistrust that infuriates him.
I so love that he gets that there's more to the relationship than Colby thinks.
I thinks that's another reason he's pissed. He's always believed they have a really tight friendship, and now there's that (illogical, knee-jerk) fear that maybe Colby is hanging around for the shot at something else. That's the part I'm not sure I got across well. David knows it's irrational, that there's a lot of substance to their friendship, but he can't help wondering.
I imagine that Colby's possible attraction to David is something the will never, ever, discuss.
The pilot from Afghanistan - that's John Sheppard, right?
I left the pilot from Afghanistan intentionally vague. Normally it would be Sheppard (because even though I'm in denial, Sheppard is clearly gay), but since it's you, I left the option for it to be Lorne open (once I thought about it, Colby/Lorne actually was kinda intriguing to me). Hell, it could be Mitchell.
I LOVE crossovers, so I couldn't resist throwing some other characters in. In order they are:
Daniel Jackson, Stargate SG-1 Anthony DiNozzo, NCIS Evan Lorne/John Sheppard, Stargate Atlantis Derek Morgan, Criminal Minds Harmon Rabb, Jr., JAG (How they would have worked together since Colby was Army and Harm was Navy, I don't know.)
I thought about throwing in Sam Carter and having David thinking she was a he, but then I figured David would bring up Colby's physicist friend to Larry and Larry would go, "'Sam' is short for 'Samantha.'"
