Cam Mitchell question

Quintessential Cam Mitchell movie of the last three or so years, anyone? Like, the one movie he'd be horrified to learn you hadn't seen, and insist on showing you at the very next opportunity.

Help a poor girl who really doesn't follow movie releases, please *makes begging eyes*.

Yes, in case it matters, the other person is John Sheppard. Try not to faint from the surprise.

He kind of seems like a Transformers kind of guy to me. Or The Departed. Maybe definitely The Departed. I think he's an Action Movie type of guy.

I vote Iron Man. I mean, it's a suit that can fly. That's pretty awesome. Only downside is, there's a lot of Afghanistan stuff that might be kind of trigger-y for Sheppard? Otherwise, I can't imagine that he'd miss the new Batman flicks, or James Bond.

I reckon he's got to be a Bond afficienado, so would have been delighted at there being a new Bond (and let's face it, who didn't like the Daniel Craig in a speedo scene?). That was 2006 and 2008. I can also see him going for the comic book based films - Batman Begins and The Dark Knight would probably appeal, as would Hellboy and X-Men and The Incredible Hulk, stuff like that. The Bourne trilogy probably worked for him. All of these have been relaeased in the last two or three years, or at least the final parts of the series have.

Failing all that, he could be into arty stuff - A Scanner Darkly (2006) would fit into 'cool', or something similarly unusual.

There's been a couple of good westerns the last couple of years. He might like No County for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, or Appaloosa.

I think Iron Man would be one just for the cool flight stuff, but I get the whole Afghanistan flashback thing... definitely have to agree with the Batman movies... Dark Knight would probably be right up both their alleys... The Departed...

This is probably kinda on the useless side since I'm agreeing with most of what everyone else said, but I think he'd be like, 'You have to see this' about The Dark Knight.

Because I'm a fan of Ben Browder's, I'd say Cam would be horrified if he found out you or John had never seen Blazing Saddles.

Ben's nick-name is Mongo or Mad Mongo. He's a HUGE fan of the movie.

I was torn on whether Cam would prefer action movies or westerns, but now that I've read the comments, I think he's probably a comedy guy. (Action movies and westerns too, but I think his first preference would be comedies.) And since I rarely watch comedies, I have no suggestions there. But if you want to go the action route, I agree on both Iron Man and Dark Knight--either one would be believable.

Remember that Cam envisioned himself as Kirk in "200," revealing that he shares Ben's love of classic cheesy sci-fi. It's a little out of the time frame you asked for, but I bet Galaxy Quest would be high on his "you gotta see this!" list.

ROFL, I'm useless and too late to comment, likely, but hee I have to glee over the fact that it's for John/Cam ;)
