Even though the rest of the people who know knew her for 4 years +, it's Laura who only knew her for a year that's proved to be a true friend. Epic fail for the rest of the team.
I loved the idea that it's actually the people who don't know her who find it easier - if the story had gone on, Katie and Lorne would have been more there, because they can all see the new person, rather than trying to see the old person who isn't there any more, if that makes sense.
