There are people who write stories and stay in control of the plot and the characters and everything while they do it, right? Cos I need someone to teach me that.

Not least because the John/Cam rare pairings fic I'm working on is showing alarming signs of turning into John/Cam/Holland, which... I know it's rare pairings, but that's (a) kind of stupidly rare and (b) not actually what the prompt is.

Holland was supposed to be a five line 'here's why things are different' character, not keep turning up!

I dragged them back on track in the end, to my amazement. Mostly because it would have added another 5000 words to a story that's already 9000 and not exactly close to finishing.

What is the prompt, anyways?

John/Cam, worth the risk. Which doesn't exactly scream 'random threesome'

Heh, yeah, I suppose that doesn't really lend itself to random threesomes. Holland should just be glad that he's apparently alive enough to be talking.
