I got tagged to do this by
ionaonie, so:
FIRST: If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new, original question.
SECOND: Tag eight sexy people.Don't refuse to do it like a pansy (Sorry, I hate the word 'pansy,' to me it will always have nasty homophobic connotations).
Who sleeps in bed next to you?
My soft toy army: the tiger, the penguin, the teddy bear from my ex, the reindeer, and road kill (a hippo that looks like it ran head first into a wall, named by a uni friend I don't see any more)
What did you last eat?
A big chocolate chunk cookie, instead of lunch
What kind of books do you read?
Mostly non-fiction, usually biography and/or about military themes/people. Well, at the moment anyway, it'll probably change again in the not too distant future
What are you reading right now?
A biography of Amy Johnson, and a book by Kate Adie about the most dangerous jobs in the world. Also the UK's eliminate violence against women and girls strategy, but that's not for fun.
If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?
I'm actually quite happy where I am, which is on my sofa under a blanket, but I only get to stay here for 45 more minutes before I have to go out.
What's really creepy?
Underwater trees - saw this exhibit this morning, so creepy!
Name one odd item within five feet of you.
A candle snuffer, for my advent candle. Also a pot of foundation make-up.
What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Possibly NCIS LA - it's the only thing I download and watch in the same day, at any rate.
What did you really want to do today that you didn't?
Stay in bed instead of getting up and going out. It was cold, and I was tired (still am!)
What are you most excited for?
I had a short story accepted for an anthology a while back, I'm pretty excited for it to come out in print (and also for the cheque that comes with it, first story I've ever been paid for)
What websites do you always visit when you go online?
Livejournal, dreamwdith, my email. Usually the online bus route finder site, so I can figure out how on Earth I'm going to get wherever I'm going.
What was the last thing you bought?
A magnet with a puffin flying in the snow, from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibit. Beautiful picture.
What do you want right this minute, off the top of your head?
To be teleported to the concert hall I'm volunteering at this evening so I won't be (a) late and (b) cold. Barring that, for my boss to say yes on Tuesday to me reducing my hours so I can take on another project at my other job.
What's your biggest procrastination method?
Reading fic.
If you could pick any one talent (not superpower, talent), what would it be?
I'd love to be musical. I can't sing on key, I can't play an instrument, and I'd love to be able to.
Spring, summer, fall, or winter?
Winter. As much as I complain about the cold, I do love it really.
Say something to the person who tagged you
Um... hope you have a good week? Soon be Christmas?
I don't like picking people to tag, so if you want to do this, consider yourself tagged :o)
