I'm not sure where the hymns came from. I think my Sam has an element of wanting to believe even though she can't, and the faith in hymns touches some of her faith in her team or her science or herself. And so maybe she sometimes tags along to church with Cam, and wonders what it would be like to feel whatever it is that he feels when he's there
