Thanks! I texted her yesterday and asked if she wanted to come with, and she said yes, she's just got to double check she's not busy. So, mostly success, though I don't know if it actually came out as 'I'd like to date you' or 'I want to be friends.' Good luck with your asking - according to my 'you should date more' friend, the trick is to ask early in the friendship/acquaintanceship/whatever, before it gets all nerve-wracking.
