Help?

I'm looking for something for John to ask Cam to go to/do with him on a Saturday afternoon in Washington as a sort of 'I have to go, but also I kind of want to, come with me?' It's not long after the repeal of don't ask don't tell, so it couldn't be something where they'd be read too easily as partners, I don't think. It's a first date, of sorts, but not explicitly a date.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe it's cos it's nearly 11 on a Friday, but I'm stuck for ideas at this point.

Washington State or DC?

DC -- Air & Space Museum, National Gallery, Smithsonian, Old Capitol District for pub crawls and what not, various Memorials.

Washington State -- Seattle Area -- Pike's Place which is a trendy downtown shopping area with a killer fish market, Underground Walking Tour of the old *buried* city, Space Needle

General Area -- Olympia Beer Mfg, Mt. Rainier, skiing galore and other outdoors activities in some of the prettiest mountain areas.

Something that he's expected to be at? Like some sort of charity event thing that Dave's sent him to? Exhibition opening or kids's sporting charity thing?

I don't know why, but I imagine Cam being really bad at skiing. Possibly John as well - either he loves it but is really bad, or hates it but is naturally good at it, I'm not sure which.

Oh yeah, that's a good point.

DC = lots and lots of museums and government buildings [I live an hour north of it in Baltimore]. Washington State [on the other side of the country] is a whole other story.
