So, I have a lesbian crush on Jeremy Renner, so much so that I actually watched a Mission Impossible movie (Tom Cruise gives me the creeps). Which was entertainingly goofy, for the record, though I'm not totally sure I followed the plot and all the bad guys.

I also watched

First of all: shouldn't someone be in charge of the bomb disposal team? And, you know, looking after them a bit, or at least keeping them from doing quite so many ridiculously unsafe things?

Second of all: maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think Will is addicted to war, I think he's traumatised (hence: shouldn't someone be looking after them a bit?). I dunno, the whole thing with the kid, and how upset he is about the not-really-suicide bomber at the end. Shouldn't the army have said no to sending him back out again?

Good movie, but, God, incredibly sad.

Anyway: today I posted off all my documents for the police check I'll need to apply for a working visa to Canada when the programme reopens for 2013. sort of swinging between incredibly excited and totally terrified. I need my friend who's championing the idea to get back from Israel already!

I'm really stoked for your potential shift over to Canada - but I do tend to keep looking at things like "an adventure".

At any rate, it will be terrifying - but there will be so much awesome stuff, and you've got great reasons and motives for going and trying it out, so I really hope it all works out for you.
