Talk to me...

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] zelempa:

"I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Some of you I don't know at all because I didn't friend you back (yet?). Perhaps you haven't been around for long, perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: 'Ah, there's so and so...'

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear."

Or the people who I friended, and who friended me back. Who, if they're anything like me, won't remember who friended who first anyway :)

In other words - I have essays! Please distract me!

Happy Tuesday...

I believe I friended you after lurking on your site which I got to because of your comments about East of the Sun, West of the Moon by Dossier. (Sorry I couldn't get the links there. I'm still new at this) I've enjoyed several of the things you have written.

Right now I should be working on the paperwork on my desk at work. Instead I am browsing LJ and occasionally looking at a Lorne story that I should be working on but I'm stuck.

Outside of work and fandom I enjoy playing pool and Texas Hold 'Em.

East of the Sun... I love that story... rats, now I want to go and re-read it, which isn't going to get my essay researched!

What's your Lorne story about (other than Lorne, obviously!)?

I enjoy playing pool and Texas Hold 'Em

Cool - I used to teach high school, and my kids thought it was hilarious that I couldn't learn to play pool.

Actually my story takes place in the East/West universe, with the permission of Dossier. It is 13 Earth years later and Evan Lorne is back on Dominat nearing the end of his career. It is the story of how he views the history that he has been a part of, including both the SG11(?) missions and his time in the Pegasus Galaxy.

Cool. I was hoping for more of Lorne in the E/W universe... well, and just more Lorne generally cos I love him. I'll look forward to reading it when you get over the writer's block :)
