I just love it when the members of Atlantis draw together to protect one of their own
And me - I love the level of loyalty on the show.
I like that they can have a very comfortable feel to their relationship in fic
I think it's definitely Cam's relaxed warmth, as you say - it cancels out John's tendency towards paranoia and despair (or at least the tendency towards it in this series :)
