Oh, this is lovely. I'm delighted to have found a new-to-me Thoughtcrimes story and have it be so sweet as well. Freya's interaction with Merriweather is a great enrichment to the movie, and I like the slow revelation of what happened between Freya and Brendan and the natural way a close call brings them back together (though I do believe they would have worked it out regardless, even if it took a little longer and with more verbal fumbling on Brendan's part :) ).
