And I second the opinion that you need to watch some Jack-centric SG-1 eps. You may think it's all about Daniel and his missing wife-ly angst in the early going, but that's far from the truth. It's not even mentioned in most eps, unless it's specifically being addressed.
Cold Lazarus, Brief Candle and Solitudes are 3 heavy-on-the-Jack Season One eps, for starters. :-)
