To whoever just purchased me two months of paid time on my dreamwidth account - THANK YOU! That's incredibly generous of you.
If you want to tell me who you are and leave a prompt (or leave one anonymously), let me write you something in return.

There is in fact such a thing as being too honest - my landlord just gave me the new contract for my flat and I stupidly said, 'oh, my rent's gone down.' Had I kept my mouth shut, I would have had a £40 a month reduction in my rent for the next six months. Curses.
On the bright side, at least it hasn't gone up, and he did arrange for someone to come and fix my washing machine, even though it doesn't belong to the flat, it belongs to me.

Where I work, we run a program called the Freedom Program, which is basically awareness raising and self-confidence building for women living with domestic violence and abuse. It's having a funding crisis at the moment, and so an application's been made for some funding. However, lots of community groups apply, and there's an online vote, which onviously we want to win.
If you have five minutes please go to the voting site, scroll down till you get to "Freedom Programme, Bristol," and click on the name for more information. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Have Your Say" which submits your vote.
You don't have to give any details at all, or create a login or anything like that, just point and click. I don't know if it works for people outside the UK, but if you're in the UK, we and hundreds of women in the city would really appreciate the time.

My brain tends to run screaming when given too much freedom, sorry :o(
Or, hmm, I have a Sam and Cam friendship idea, or a Cam and Elizabeth Weir au pre-Atlantis one, if I can interest you in either of those?!

(I was also rather amused by the joke in the title. I still need to watch that film sometime.)

It's probably a good thing you didn't get back to me sooner, since I now have no earthly idea what the Sam/Cam friendship story was, which would have been awkward if you'd said, ooh, yes, write that!
