It must have been S6-ish because that's when the F-302 came off the line ("Redemption", 6x01-6x02). The guy in charge of the 302 program wanted Jack to test out the 302, but Jack initially said "hell no!"
Of course, later Jack was their test pilot *anyway* because they used the 302 to help save the world! So I imagine the program started in S6. And when did Bryce Ferguson get injured? Because both he and Cam were up for the 302 program, then Fergie got injuried.
Thanks! That makes life...slightly easier, I think!
And when did Bryce Ferguson get injured?
Oh God, who knows? That storyline, as much as I enjoyed it, makes my head hurt when I try to work out the timing. I usually go with early season 6, and then Cam joined late season 6 and did it for a year or so before the crash.
It was definitely during season 6 because they were still working out the bugs at that point (Sam showed Jonas the 302). We see a 302 in a successful mission when Jack and Sam fly one in Fallen/Homecoming at the beginning of Season 7, but the first group of snakeskinners were introduced in season 7's Fragile Balance. Based on the timeline, we can assume that Cam was in the second or third set of pilots trained for 302s since they were battle ready at the end of season 8 when he crashed.
Also he was earth-based since the 302s were also flying off of the Prometheus.

I thought that was the end of season 7? Though I have to admit to never having watched anything from before the start of season 9, so I'm probably confused (doesn't take much!)
