I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity

She asked me:

1. So, out of curiosity, why John/Cameron?
I actually don't remember what first attracted me to the pairing - I had this idea for a John/Daniel fic, when I'd only seen one episode of SG1, with the original team, and went looking for more episodes, ended up with the new team and fixated on Cam. I think the attraction was their similarities, originally. Now it's sort of just familiarity - most of my ideas are for that pairing, and that's what I tend to offer in exchanges. And I like the idea that they bond over being team leaders and not having many people who get what it's like (which is also why I like Sam and Cam friendship).

Huh, that was actually really hard to put into words. Apparently I really can't explain why I like the pairing.

2. You like Torchwood, right? Who's your favorite character there, and why? (Or ignore this question, if I'm totally misremembering.)
I do, and I think my favourite character is Tosh, as much as I'm attached to any of them. I like that she's smart and techy (and sometimes I'm shallow, so I also like her because she's very pretty). I kind of hated that she was the only one who didn't get to have some kind of functional relationship, and that she was mostly miserable, and that her most prominent feature was that she had a crush on Owen, but she was mostly a cool character (when not being a victim of Torchwood's many and varied issues).

3. If you had a million dollars, what would you spend it on?
Actually, really boring things: paying off my student loans, a nice flat, paying off my sister's mortgage, money for my family. Holiday maybe. Probably lots of theatre/concert tickets. Money to charities. I'd like to set up an LGBT community centre where I live, so maybe that. Sadly, when it comes to money, I'm basically boring :o)

4. Kaylee Frye or Jennifer Keller?
Ooh, tough question. Kaylee was fun (and written by someone better than the Stargate team, who are hopeless unless it's Rodney) but I kind of like Keller, for being sort of awkward and shy, and learning what she needs to know to cope with living in Pegasus. Though they're both extemely competent, which I really like. But I still think Keller, however much fandom dislike her.

5. What's your first fandom?
I got into fandom reading Sentinel fic, despite never having seen the show (I got there via a crossover with Homicide, which I did watch). The first fandom I wrote for was King Arthur, the 2004 movie, I think, but the first fandom I was really part of was probably The West Wing. But I think now I'm stuck in Stargate verse forever.
