I encourage your fascination, especially if it leads to writing. :D I love stories about Dave, as long as they don't paint him as a moustache-twirling, one-dimensional villain, because I really don't think he is. Even if he was, in some respects, quite awful to John at the funeral.

He was definitely kind of horrible to John at the funeral, but I guess I can see Dave's side as well: his father died, he's probably dealt with most of the arrangements, he doesn't have hisown family or friends there, his estranged brother just showed up then disappeared... No wonder he's stressed out.
