I have *got* to start keeping better notes. Because now I need to refer to Cam's brother, and I know I've called him something in a past fic, but for the life of me I can't think what it was, and I can't remember which fic it was either.

I know I could use something else, and I probably will if it doesn't come back to me soon, but it's driving me up the wall.

Did you use a Clan Mitchell name, or make up your own?

Definitely not Clan Mitchell - I read it, but I don't use those characters. I usually borrow Court, who's dossier's from the WHN interlude, but I'm sure I had my own person as well. Unless I'm getting confused by the fact that I have my own characters for John's family (well, the ones who didn't get a mention on the show, anyway)

I was about to say Courtney, but you're right, that was dossier's WHN interlude. Huh, did you ever actually use it in a fic?

I use Casey, and I'm pretty sure I never saw you use that name, FWIW!

I have used Courtney when it's been WHN verse, but I went back through every fic I could concievably have referred to Cam's brother in, and it turns out the reason I can't remember the name is, I always referred to him as "Cam's brother". So not only am I remebering things I never did, but now I can make up something new as well.

Hmmmm... You're right, though, I definitely remember you naming him at least once. I think it's canon for it to be a "C" name, but I got nothin'.

Funny how it's all C names. I was thinking Cole for some reason, but I can't find that anywhere, and now I'm wondering if maybe someone else used that name. Or it's possible I just made it up.

I can't find anything else either; sorry!

I went back through everything, and it turns out I'm misremembering, and I never called the guy anything except Cam's brother. Weird. I might borrow Cole from you though - I quite like that

I was trying to think about where in canon Cam mentions his brother. I think it's just the playing at sword fighting with his kid brother, right? That and the reference to his nephew in the deleted scenes. So there's really nothing to work from there.

Ooh, which deleted scene is that? I don't remember that one.

I'll have to look up what season it was, but the scene is one where they're off-world and discover a reference to dragons. Daniel starts listing off all the places dragons show up (books, etc.), and Cam adds video games to the list. And then everyone looks at him, and he's all "What? I have a nephew...and a PlayStation."

I'll check my DVDs to see if I can find which episode that's from.

I use OpenOffice & Office spreadsheets both for story notes. One doc, lots of sheets easily labeled, supports links, images text...

Is this in the What Happens Next Verse?
