I've written myself into a corner before because I couldn't think of a suitably witty/flip comment for someone to say.

I've never written myself into a corner because I couldn't think of a suitably *non*witty/flip comment for someone to say. In my defense, it's John Sheppard, but still. Everything I think of is too flip, and I can't even use one of those as a said-the-wrong-thing moment, because I already had one.

And it was going so well, up until then. Rats.
