This is why I don't sleep in the day - woke up from a two hour nap after work at 7.15 and had to go and ask my housemate to make sure it was still the evening. And now my head is convinced it's Friday, which is not good!
Of the good, however...
1. The History of an Alliance got nominated in the Stargate Fan Awards! I'm not sure what it says about my writing that this has been nominated for two awards now and got written in two days as a pinch hit for femslash07 :)
2. I have a working (mostly) website, which I'm slowly putting all my stories on, and may I just say, God, that's a boring thing to do, even without having to do any coding, about which I know nothing. I've suddenly gained a lot of sympathy for web developers! Anyway, it's here: http://bluflamingofic.tripod.com/, though interestingly it doesn't work on my laptop.
3. Logic finally kicked in and reminded me that we get paid at the end of the month, so I'll get paid my August salary right before I leave my job and hence not being able to find temping work in September is not a crisis. I despair of myself some days.
4. The doctor actually believed me this time when I told him I'd injured my knee ice skating (sprained it, oh joy!), though it was embarrassing to admit that yes I had in fact injured myself in the same way, doing the same thing, as the last time I came to see him (and we had a two week argument before I convinced him it wasn't all in my head).
Of the not so good...
The premise for my
sg_flyboys fic just got well and truly shot down and now I'm a little stuck. That said, the rest of the story still works, I just need a bright idea for *why* John would be off-world in the Milky Way with SG1. But I have hope, something will come to me...maybe.
