I just realised I don't have any Atlantis or SG1 related icons - this is a tragedy, and brought to you by me wanting to pimp the Cameron Mitchell ficathon on
dirty_diana's journal. Everyone's had practise writing him with John Sheppard already, might as well put it to use :)
Like i need another fic exchange or contest to sign up to - I have 5 stories to write by mid-November, and 4 already written and waiting to be posted before the end of September. Turns out all that own-deadline setting I did at uni is useful in the (semi-)real world after all!
Plus, I have ideas wholly unconnected to prompts from other people bouncing around in my head, all of which I want to write by the end of the year, hence the list so that I actually feel compelled to do it:
1. Sheppard/Mitchell/Lorne during The Return, mainly so I can write Cam feeling up John in a bar and Lorne wondering what on Earth, no pun intended, he's doing there and why he hasn't left yet.
2. Sheppard developing an allergy to ATA technology and having to be sent back to Earth. Yep, no fixes in my world - I am cruel and heartless. Sadly, I haven't figured out how to get an ending for that, but that's never stopped me before
3. Space pirates AU - how John and Lorne acquired their crew when the recruitment speech included the phrase "and our commanding officer is trapped inside the ship".
4. Firefly (which is wholly to blame for my space show obsession), in which Kaylee disappears and Mal flies all over the verse looking for her and leaving notes. Also fairly sad and depressing
5. Something else in the John-on-SG1 verse, mainly so I can write about how he and Cam Mitchell put off every single SG team officer in the Mountain from wanting to join them.
Tomorrow is my last day in my job - eep! Well, technically, the 11th is my last day, since I'm being paid for some left over holiday, but tomorrow is my last day of actually going, and then it's only four weeks till I got back to uni and oh my god am I ever not prepared. What the hell made me think this was a good idea? I don't even know how I'm going to get all my stuff there. I must be nuts.
And then I remember that my students drive me nuts on a good day, and it seems like a less bad idea. Mostly.
