OK, I know it was seven years ago and I was a mere babe of 18 and thus probably had a lot of help from my mum, but I DO NOT remember moving to uni being this much work the first time I did it. Also, the list of things I have to get done before I go is growing instead of hrinking, which is a little worrying.
All of which is by way of saying - I don't want to start packing! I hate packing! I want someone to come and do it for me, except I've had to turn down three offers from people to do just that because I'm the only one who knows what has to go with me and what has to go into storage.
On the bright side, this time in two weeks, I'll be *un*packing, which means the packing and the moving will be done, and I'll just have to worry about my courses. At which point, I shall probably start wishing for packing to worry about.
Random nice thing that happened today: I have a t-shirt that says "freedom to live and love" on it, which is my subtle gay pride t-shirt. I was wearing it in town today and an RAF veteran collecting for the veterans fund (to which I donated) wished me "good luck with the freedom". Isn't that nice?
Whee,
sg_flyboys opens tomorrow! And I shall be at my parents' place all day, alas :(
