Now that it's all over and done with, can I interest you in some random statistics, followed by some random rambling?

1. Total word count: 58,076, of which just over half were about female characters.

2. Longest story: Life in 3D (8524); shortest: First Sight, Second Sight (1733); average word count: 4148

3. Total number of stories: 14 (duh); 7 gen character pieces (one each for Sam, Katie, Elizabeth, Heightmeyer, Cadman, Teyla and Keller), 1 femslash (Sora/Teyla) and 6 slash (5 John/Cam, 2 Ronon/Lorne - yes, I know that makes 7, there was an overlap).
All Stargate: 9 purely Atlantis, 1 cross-over of an Atlantis character into the SG1 world and 4 cross-overs of an SG1 character into the Atlantis world

4. 4 sequels/companions to something I already wrote (Spaces in the Light, Cease (to move on), Speak of This and Like Pegasus Triple A)

5. 1 explicitly AU (Spaces in the Light); 1 that could be AU depending on how you interpret it (Cease (to move on)); 1 that I'm sure (and hoping) will prove to be AU (Thin Thread Left).

6. Story with the most comments: Life in 3D (18); story with fewest comments: currently tied between Cremnophobia and College Experience (both with 1).

7. Point number 7 was going to be the number of stories that were also on my first list of what I was going to write but it's kind of hard to explain (or quantify) so...
3 were on the original list in the way they eventually got written (Life in 3D, Speak of This and Spaces in the Light)
The seven female character pieces originally came under 'something about the women of season 4', which clearly got vastly expanded.
The other six original plans were:
- A post-Siege slight AU in which Ford never gets off Atlantis after getting the enzyme, is sent back to Earth and cured, and returns to Atlantis (where the story starts) to get into wacky adventures with Lorne, Cadman and a fourth party yet to be determined (going to be written)
- Backstory for Penguins and Sparrows and Stars, explaining how Sheppard and Lorne break-out of prison, and probably involving Cam Mitchell somewhere (going to be written)
- An expansion of a tiny ficlet I wrote a while back, in which Wash and Simon effect a daring rescue of Jayne, Mal and Zoe (yes, there was going to be non-Stargate fic) (posibly going to be written)
- Lorne on Earth having decided he wants to sleep with Sheppard, but, not having slept with a guy before, wanting to try it out before he risks his career (and winding up with Colby from Numbers) (possibly going to be written)
- Stackhouse and Ford post-apocalypse, from Wild Dark Times (probably going to be incorporated into the original novel version of this universe, once I figure out where the deadly threat comes from in a world that doesn't have the Ori)
- Something about Jayne and Zoe out on a job together after the end of Serenity, taking off from Crew Manifest (will totally be written if I ever figure out what I want to say about them).

8. Stories that already have sequels in my head: currently 2 (Speak of This, in which John does in fact have an unpleasant fate befall him, necessitating Rodney going to track down Cam, probably via Sam, to explain that yes, they've lost John but no, it's not cause for alarm, since they always find him again; and Thin Thread Left, in which Cam, John and Lorne are back on Earth, and John and Lorne are trying to cope with what they lost or left behind). So, you know, cheerful, happy stuff there :)

9. My least favourite: Cremnophobia. I wanted to write something about Kate's fear of heights, which didn't fit with the other nightmares, I thought, heights being generally seen as more of an irrational, generic fear than a personal one like the others. But it didn't work the way I wanted it to, and actually I nearly abandoned it twice. Now I think I should have written something about her being a climber instead, but, well, I guess I'll know for next time.

10. To end on a high note - my favourite: I'm torn between three:
Life in 3D, because I'd been wanting to write this for ages, and it worked out how I wanted it to (once I accepted that no, it wasn't going to be happy cheerful, sex in random places - though I still want to write the part where Cam, at home, calls John in his office for phone sex, in which Cam gets off and John doesn't, thus necessitating John and Lorne finding an unused supply cupboard - maybe I write it anyway)
Getting to Know You, because I love my Cadman and Lorne backstory in which they're good, entirely platonic friends, and it was a lot of fun to write. Plus, pretty much no angst.
Speak of This, because it's part of my beloved Return'verse (which still needs a better name, since it's now well out of The Return), and because it was the first thing I finished for 14v, and because it has two of my favourite things: John and Cam being in love with each other, and John and Rodney being best friends.

So, since I'm rubbish at making decisions, and I can't flip a coin when there are three choices, I'm leaving it with three.

And going off to start writing one of the things I wanted to write and didn't.
