Someone convince me that I don't want to sign up to write Cam Mitchell instead of Sam Carter taking over leadership of Atlantis for [livejournal.com profile] sgabigbang. I could totally do it. I have a 'Cam on Atlantis' file on my computer. I could write 40,000 words of that by July. I could.

Except that it would have to be gen or John/Rodney.

I don't have that much will-power!

Unless... I wonder if background pairings are allowed in a gen story...

No! Someone stop me!

*snort* don't look at me.

I love the idea of Cam being in charge of Atlantis. And if you're writing John/Rodney, I'd totally cheer you on.

So, yeah, I'm probably not the person to ask to convince you not to sign-up *g*

You're no help!

I'm totally signing up, but the prompt I really wanted (the supernatural one) is gone, and that one grabbed me instead. I think it would probably be gen though... which should guarantee it's completely ignored, since I don't think many people will read 40,000 words of crossovery gen!

Any idea which prompt you want?

Sorry. *grins unrepentantly*

I'll read it. Promise.

I'm in about three minds, to be honest with you.

Either,

a) Larrin doesn't let Sheppard go. I like this idea, but I just have no idea how to make it into a 40,000 fic.

b) Atlantis is diclassified/someone finds out about it. I'd totally diclassify it. I've always loved the idea of it going into the public domain. Why it happens, how it happens, the affect it has on those in Atlantis, how those who arrive after act and all those kind of things.

c) Conflictys between Earth/Pegasus politics. Although I have no idea what I'd use as the catalyst for the tension, nor what would happen.

I'm utterly terrified, but in a really excited kind of way *G*

Hmm, any of those three would be good. I'd love to see the public reaction to declassification, and it would be interesting through the eyes of the Atlantis crew, since they're too far away to feel it, in a lot of ways, until, as you say, new people show up.
