Feeling good on a Friday for once...

1. Got my three essays from last semester back and yay! passed all three! one of them with 70% which, if I manage that twice more and for my dissertation, will give me a distinction. Not that I'm holding my breath, but still

2. Done are: gate_women fic; sga_genficathon fic; something for sg1_five_things; have plots for sga_flashfic's not dead yet challenge, and for both my lgbtfest fics.

3. Have been poking around my big bang fic, and decided it's going to have five plot strands (cos I can totally manage five plot strands!) (1) the au-ish version of season 4 (2) John and Cam's relationship starting up (3) Cam's relationship with the people in the city (4) the effect of John's relationship with Cam on his own relationship with the people in the city (5) a main plot with a beginning, middle and end. The only problem is, I'm not sure what the main plot will be. Which may be a problem.

4. Won a £32 amazon voucher for participatin in a survey, and just spent it on books about deconstructing the binary of gender. Yay! (Yes, I'm a sociology geek).

5. Going to visit my parents and sister the weekend after next, which will hopefully include a trip to a bird sanctuary I haven't been to since I was a little, little kid.

See, that's what I love about fandom - it's the one place where being this excited/in love with/obsessed with a pairing or a character or a show is not just okay, but normal :)

eeeee! sooooo excited about your big bang fic!

Hm, could the au structure of season 4 be your plot? e.g., what would Cam do differently from Sam? Would his choices cause different results? (or are they too similar in their judgments/ characters that the overall events would remain the same, but only perhaps some of the interactions would be different?) Would the structure of the season's arc hold up as a plot structure, or does the nature of SGA as episodic tv make it too difficult to hold together one story?

I'm not sure - there is more of an over-arching structure to the show this season (the missing Athosians, the replicators, Michael, Teyla's baby, Tod etc) but I kind of want an original plot. I suppose I'm worried that otherwise I'll basially be re-writing the season as we've already seen it (because I'm not sure Cam would make any major changes), which isn't very interesting.

I'll probably use my usual method of plotting - start and hope for inspiration!
