Current big bang word count: 66,265.

I guess it'll end up around 75,000 words this time. A lot of the re-writing so far has been cutting and pasting old stuff, with some additional scenes, but now I'm into the bit that actually requires me to write it from scratch. And action as well - I'm not good at action scenes.

The biggest problem, actually, is keeping the minor stuff straight. I keep having to read back to figure out if what I'm referring to has actually happened in this version, or if I cut it. Or, worse, if I'm still using it, but later on. I've got zero ability to remember the details of my own plot at this point. It's a problem.

I often suffer from a similar problem. While going through my bigbang yesterday I realised I had Team Sheppard going on the same mission twice.

Surffice to say I had to swap a few scenes around.

I'm not a fan of writing action scenes either and I've got a few in this fic. There's always too much going on.

I must say i'm really impressed that you're on re-writes already. I wish I was that far along.

Maybe time for a time-loop subplot?!

I thought it would take me a lot longer to write this than it actually did, so I ended up starting really early, and thus finsihing early. Which is probably a good thing, since I'm rewriting a huge part!

I do the exact same thing, and then have to go back through and remember how it all went together properly.

But then, that's why God made betas, because a beta will always go, "Wait, I just read that." And then they will poke you until you fix it.

This is very, very true, thank goodness :)
