Huh. I don't have a single John/Rodney icon. I wouldn't have thought that was possible in SGA fandom, but there you go.

mcshep_match started posting today, and will run for 25 days, with two stories (one home, one away) being posted every day.
Did I mention that I'm a backup writer for this? Well, I am, for the away team. I have no idea when my story will be posted, nor could I tell you if I did, but there it will be (though, honestly, I'm pretty sure people who read this journal regularly will know I wrote it when they read my story). I even got to write one of the ideas that's been kicking around my hard-drive waiting for me to write it for a year, so that was cool.
Though, oh my God, am I out of practice at writing John/Rodney. I've so turned into a John/Cam fangirl this year.
But anyway - go, read, vote for the away team.

(Not that there's anything wrong with John/Rodney, of course, but everyone in the fandom writes for them and so very, very few write John/Cam.)

I couldn't agree more - there should be many more of them!
It's just that last year was my first year of writing in the stargate universe, and I wrote loads of different pairings. This year, I've written almost exclusively John/Cam or gen. It's not a bad thing, necessarily, just strange.

I like to occasionally write other pairings, just for the practice, though it was John/Cam that got me writing in this fandom in the first place. But from your previous post, it sounds like you'll be doing a lot of non-John/Cam this summer, so maybe that will restore some balance to your life.

I don't see why this is a bad thing. I won't go so far as to discourage this regression, but John/Cam is clearly the superior pairing.

I know, weird, right? I have a John, Rodney and Ford icn, but that's as close as it gets! Though in fairness, until a couple of months ago, I didn't have *any* SGA icons, just John/Cam ones.
