Now watch me forget half of what I wanted to say...

1. Awfully blaze about shooting the Athosian hybrids on Michael's ship, aren't we, guys? They used to be good guys, even if they turned. Also - what happened to Kanaan in the end? Blown up? Rescued? I imagine it's too much to hope that he might get a mention later on.

2. Teyla's baby is so cute - such tiny tiny fingers and... yeah, so cute. And he makes her so happy :) The look on John's face when he's in the dart with the baby though - there is a man who really wants to have children, and really believes that's as close as he's going to get.

3. Totally could have lived without the Teyla giving birth scene, which was (a) more than somewhat implausible (b) more than somewhat cliched and (c) more than somewhat all about Rodney. If I was Teyla, I'd have kicked him in the head and blamed it on a contraction. I'd also much rather have been left with Ronon than with Rodney - he seems the calm in a crisis type.

4. John ducking his head as they go through the doors into the cruiser will never not make me smile, as will Ronon's happy grin when John gets them onto the cruiser safely.

5. I never thought I'd say this but - I loved Caldwell in this episode: I like to keep the daring rescues to one a day. And - please make that ship go away. He can stick around :)

6. Going backwards now, but John and Ronon, when they realise they aren't being rescued just make my heart hurt. Even though they're obviously going to be saved, that whole moment of waiting to die, but going out fighting, and the 'it's been a pleasure', 'same' exchange. It totally, totally worked. As did John dragging himself up when he can hardly move, to go rescue Teyla - you just want to wrap him in a blanket and put him to bed, he looks so *tired*.

7. Okay, Woolsey - relieving Sam of her command in the gate-room - not the height of professionalism there! I can't believe they're sending him to take over; I *loved* Sam, even though she kept magically disappearing. And on a totally shallow note, she looked seriously hot in her leather jacket, striding around the Daedalus and being in command.

8. And on a really really shallow note - let's hope we're going to see more of the female solider with the gun, if only because I want a name so I can slash her with Keller; tell me I'm not the only one seeing it.

Re #3: The fact that the birth scene was biologically implausible and mostly focused on Rodney is the only reason I could watch it. I haaaaaaate birth scenes. The friend I was watching with was all "not enough screaming!" and "what about the afterbirth!" to which I replied, "Dear god, who wants to see THAT?!" Rodney's hysterics were pretty much in line with how I would be reacting. Granted, I would do all that inside my head, but that would be boring to watch. *g*

I think I'm the only person in the world looking forward to Woolsey. *G*

let's hope we're going to see more of the female solider with the gun, if only because I want a name so I can slash her with Keller

Were they even really in a scene together? I don't remember. But yes, she needs to stick around. Now that Sam is gone, we're down a pretty girl to look at.

My take on Kanaan is that he was a random hookup that Teyla decided to explore and see if it would work out. Whatever, he was boring.

I haaaaaaate birth scenes.

I'm not mad-keen on them either, but - she couldn't have had her baby back in Atlantis, while the guys paced around like expectant fathers outside??

Were they even really in a scene together?

Yeah - Keller was very impressed by her shooting down a wraith dart in Michael's compound. Which is pretty much what I'm basing the desire to slash them on - I'm easily swayed, apparently :)

He was, very, but some mention of his ultimate fate might be nice. Unlikely, since this is SGA, but nice.

Yes so I just got back from work, hence I'm not totally there in the head right now, so when I looked at this entry on my f-page I read it completely different. I skipped over several words and so came to the conclusion that you had written an SG-1 fic where they were late getting rescued because Sam had gotten her wisdom teeth pulled. Yeah my brain makes weird connections. Although now I want to see something like "The five times a member of the Stargate program had to go to the dentist" of something like that.

There's a rather cute fic floating around somewhere about Teal'c's first cavity.

:o) Reading the cut-tag in that context, it does sound scarily plausible as a line from a fic... though it sounds more like Mitchell than Sam to me...

Yes this is true, but your icon it confused my tired tired brain! I can almost see how that story would go. Almost. So I can't write it...not that I have time mind you.

RE 8: Are you spoiler-phobic? Cos I think I know the name of the soldier

Not so spoiler-phobic that I'd mind finding out her name, if you do know it. Thank you :)

Capt. Alicia Vega (I think, if she's the same character that shows up later - if so, this is a neat-o way of introducing her)

Cool, thank you!
