American elections tomorrow, right?

Last time there was a presidential election over there, I was teaching EFL at a school in Leicestershire. There were five of us, all in our twenties, in the EFL department, and I remember sitting in the staff room at some ridiculous hour of the evening (we were residential tutors) watching the results as they came in, and waiting for the winner to be announced.

Our head of EFL was very hot on us using current events in our classes, and the next day he suggested we could talk about the elections. We all refused, because we were so depressed by the results that we couldn't stand the idea of talking about it all day.

I'm wishing so hard for Obama to win tomorrow.

American elections tomorrow, right?

Oh dear god, yes. I am *positive* that none of us could take another moment of this.

All the big websites will be running updates once results start to come in.

Yeah - I'm telling myself very firmly that I will *not* stay up until whatever hour of the night it will be here when the results get announced... on the other hand, do I want to wake up to them?
