1. Phew, have mostly survived Christmas (though murder of my father is still a possibility - at least going to jail would give me more time to write!)

2. Got to skip =220 on my flist and gave up. Anything amazing that was posted before then, I'll just have to find out about through other means.

3. Anonymous wrote this is not my dream, sister for me for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. It's Thoughtcrimes, gen Freya and Brendan, and it's fab. It's all about personal history, and where and what we come from, and how it makes us who we are, and how that's different from who we thought we were. And it has an amazing, strong bond between Freya and Brendan, and Freya being awesome and saving them, and I can't wait to find out who wrote it, so I can go find out if we have any other fandoms in common.

4. All the fic is posted now for [livejournal.com profile] sga_santa and [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, including mine for both, so if you'd like to have a go at guessing, I offer fic in return. For [livejournal.com profile] sga_santa, I wrote a slash story that wasn't John/Rodney, and really, if you can't guess that I wrote it, the only excuse I'll accept is that you didn't *read* it, cos I wrote it to fit into one of my existing universes, and I don't think it could be mroe obviously me if I'd tried. For [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, I wrote for one of the fandoms I asked for, gen friendship fic. I'm not sure if it's guessable or not.

5. I want someone to invent a device that you can attach to your head and have pull out your thoughts into written form. Becasue I have my [livejournal.com profile] sg_flyboys fic in my head, but getting it onto paper is not going well.

A John/Cam fic that you didn't comment on? Yeah, that one was pretty obvious.
Friday, December 26th, 2008 04:22 pm (UTC)
I contemplated leaving a fake comment to confuse people, but that seemed a little creepy!

I suspect it wasn't obvious to everyone, just those of us who hang around the John/Cam section of the fandom. Honestly, I thought it was you before I saw the comments. The combination of pairing and style gave it away.

Glad to hear you survived Christmas. I'm going to encourage you not to murder your father--while you might have more time to write in prison, I think your Internet time would be limited, which means the rest of us might not get to read what you wrote. And that's no fun.

My mother and sister are now scanning the Boxing Day sale ads. This afternoon could be scary. :D

That's because you're the only ones who know who I am :)

Yes, but it'd be so therapeutic! I need Vala, then I could have the best of both worlds - murder him, then revive him with her magic healing device, hence no prison time. Sorted :)

Good luck!

Oh, one last thing, speaking of John/Cam stories you haven't commented on. I don't know if you saw it, but [livejournal.com profile] tesserae_ posted John/Cam Christmas fic yesterday, here.
Friday, December 26th, 2008 04:47 pm (UTC)
I was just reading that one when you commented, weirdly.

Um-do you want something ofor guessing, even if it was easy?!

I am always delighted by anything you care to write, especially if it's John/Cam. But I know you're busy now, and it really didn't require any effort on my part, so I feel kind of bad actually making any demands.

But I know you're busy now, and it really didn't require any effort on my part, so I feel kind of bad actually making any demands.

It's not a demand, it's a request :) Also, I shall be spending most of Tuesday in a completely empty flat with nothing but a notebook, waiting for furniture to be delivered, so think of it as a mercy mission to save me from utter and complete boredom:)
Saturday, December 27th, 2008 11:58 pm (UTC)
Well, I can't let you be bored! That would be cruel. So here you go, three prompts and you can pick whichever appeals to you to keep you occupied on Tuesday:

1) Keeping it seasonal, John and Cam on New Year's Eve. Could be past, present, or future; resolutions or celebration; together or apart...whatever you like.

2) Something that shows what attracts John to Cam or Cam to John in addition to the obvious physical traits. Or maybe just something where John gets to be smart, 'cause that's always fun. (Cam can be smart too. Bonus points if some of the smart people from their teams are around.) So I guess there are actually two prompts here, and four total.

3) If you're feeling especially melancholy, pull what you like out of this:

You've walked beside me,
never knowing,
for six years now.
We've been together
in so many places
as I travelled, under skies
with doubled moons.

Beyond this dark house
a train is running away
into the night plain.
We've all had
dreams break,
fantasies we shaped.

("Beyond This Dark House" by Guy Gavriel Kay.)

Oh I want that device too D: It would make everything so much easier!

Merry Christmas ♥

It really would.

No killing of the Father. At least noticeably so. Paper is at a premium in jail... and you'd have to serve your sentence before you could post. (This sounds a lot better in my head, I swear.)

I could also use that sort of a device...

Hmm, I wouldn't be good in a place where there wasn't much paper, I don't think.

*Shakes head* Nope. Would not be good.

ugh, do not mention [livejournal.com profile] sga_flyboys! After a great start, I seem to have hit a block! I still need to go back and change the omg!gralring errors in timeline and finish it *facepalm*

There's been so much fic posted lately and i have had no time to read it yet!

Oh dear - that doesn't sound good! I'm sure it'll all work out fine in the end - mine currently has about 500 words which I'm in two minds abou scrapping anyway!

I nearly cried when [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris pointed out the huge glaring error i had somehow had brainfail over.

Ugh, I hate it when that happens! I have about three different fic beginnings from when I was trying to decide what to write for this thing-a-thon
