Just moved into my (very nice) new flat, where internet was meant to be set up before I even moved in, and been told I'll have it by the end of January, assuming there are no more delays.

Very unimpressed!

On the bright side, I now have a washing machine, yay, and will have a sofa on Tuesday, also yay, though currently no idea when I might be getting a bed delivered. At least I can migrate from sleeping on an air bed and sitting on a pile of cushions to sleeping and sitting on a sofa.

Which is a slight improvement :o)

You have to wait a month for internet? That's crazy.

Yeah - till the 12th for someone to come and reactivate the phone line, then 7-10 days after that for them to set up the internet and send me a modem. Which, knowing my luck, will get lost in the post anyway :o(

Congrats on the new flat! I'm glad you're in and sort of settled. No internet for a month, though, that's gotta be painful. And more than a little annoying since it was supposed to be set up in advance.

Pretty is very good. And so is no more creepy flatmate. That has to make up a little for the tiny.

And on the bright side, no internet means less distraction from writing, right? Kind of like that prison cell you were longing for... ;)

Hmm, true. And at least I finally wrote down your prompts, having gone off with a notebook, but no note of what I was meant to be writing (Tuesday was not my best day ever!)

ugh, that sucks about the internet. We had the same issue when we moved and it is not fun.
