skieswideopen made my day by offering me an invite code for dreamwidth, so I'm over there as bluflamingo... weird, I always thought if I moved this journal somewhere else, I'd try to get the 'e' back in blue, but it just looks wrong with it now.

I am, of course, using it as an excuse to not do any more work on my little bang fic, despite being only 4000 words from hitting the min word count, and nearly done.

I think that cross-posting is supposed to be automatic at some point in the near future. You should be able to just tell it your LJ journal and it will take care of the rest, once that feature is enabled.

Cool. Considering I can barely figure out unscreening comments half the time for sg1_five_things, something that does things for me can only be a good thing :o)

And interestingly also can't remember the name of the comm either!

There will be a cross-poster! It's not up yet but we think we'll have the first draft by open beta launch (april 30). At that point you can enter the entry at DW and then tell it to post to your LJ, and it will!

I agree, I'm really excited about it! So many people do want to cross-post and end up copying and pasting manually or using one of the clients, and personally, I don't like the clients and copying/pasting is a pain.

I don't think so - I still like it here, and setting up again somewhere else, with all the people and communities I have friended, would be a pain. Plus, not everyone's going. But apparently they'll have an auto-cross-post thing, so I can post to both without making a horrible mess of it and thus have the best of both worlds (and see most things twice!)

Until then you can use Semagic or a program like that. I'm waiting for their system, myself.

I think the official launch is the end of this month. I'm like you, I think I'd use it as a cross-post or backup, not actually move. I'm used to being here :o)
