1. Voting is now open for the SG Fan Awards. I'd totally forgotten, but three of my stories were nominated:
1. Paid in Forward Motion in the gen, Sheppard+other section;
2. Squidge In the gen, team, humor section; and
3. Wild Dark Times in the gen, SG1/SGA crossover section.

There are also loads of other fantastic stories nominated, so even if you don't want to vote, go read!

2. I decided to use one of my two remaining dreamwidth invite codes to set up an original fiction journal purple-pen. There's not much in there at the moment - a couple of things that were originally posted in this journal, and some older stuff I wrote for various creative writing courses - but hopefully it'll get more active. If you'd like to subscribe to it, you're more than welcome, of course, though I'd appreciate if you didn't mention this journal on that one (the reverse is obviously fine). It's not going to have an lj mirror.

ola! does this mean that you'd prefer to not have purple_pen stories on the website?

Please. I think there's only one up there at the moment, but yeah, I think I'm going to try to keep them separate. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with the original fiction journal, but it seems like a good idea to start separating the two.

heh. I should check my email more often. Done and Done. I had only grouped them together because they were both smallish categories, rather than any implicative statement, but yes, I understand.

Yeah, I assumed that was the reason - I guess it's one of those things that bothers me disproportionally to its actual importance, like how a movie can't have a happy ending unless the hero gets the girl. And then I tend to obsess...
