Top 5 femslash pairings (from havoc)

1. Keller/Vega: okay, so Vega's dead and Keller's supposedly wrapped up with Rodney, but they'd be hot together, and also kind of sweet
2. Keller/Cadman: I dunno, maybe I just have a thing for Keller with marines?
3. Teyla/Sora: complete with angst and secrets and wildly au happy endings.
4. Ellie Bartlet/Gina Tocsano: from The West Wing, even though they never meet in canon, Gina disappears and Ellie ends up married.
5. Sara Sidle/Aiden Burn: from CSI'verse. It could totally work. Except that Aiden's dead and Sara's supposedly with Grissom, and, wow, weird parallel to number 1.

Top 5 SGA/SG1 crossover stories (from forestgreen) Ooh, so much temptation to go back and re-read them all...

1. Deep Water by kyizi: because John's a mathematician and still has a tragic backstory, and Cam wasn't injured in Antarctica and still has tragic memories of the place, and because it has Lorne being Lorne and so cool
2. Once Upon A Time by ethrosdemon: it's tragic and funny and has so many cool little details of Atlantis, and I always kind of forget how much I love it till I'm reading it again.
3. Hey Baby, Let's Go To Pegasus by medie: because it's funny and cute, and it has Cadman/Carter.
4. Foreign Greetings, Common Challenges: because who wouldn't love Vala/Teyla Pegasus Project fic?
5. 's Robot AI series, particularly Muscle and Blood and Skin and Bone: because John and Cam are brothers from when they were tiny coloured robots on wheels, and Lorne brought them up, and there's so much familial love between the three of them, it's always weird to watch the show and realise that in reality, they don't interact much at all.

Top 5 ladies of the Stargate verse (from dirty-diana)

1. Teyla Emmagan: she's a better stick fighter than the hero of the show, she's the diplomat on the team and she gets the most gorgeous clothes sometimes (yes, sometimes I'm that shallow)
2. Sam Carter: she's a scientist and an air force officer and also kind of a geek
3. Laura Cadman: I know half of fandom hates her, but I loved her.
4. Jennifer Keller: ditto.
5. Sora: she was so interesting, and so of course she disappeared never to be seen again.

Top 5 Vala moments (from yvi)

Hmm, I'm not sure I've watched SG1 recently enough to remember...

1. "One must always be prepared to liberate treasure, Cameron," from Bad Guys. Vala gets all the best lines in that episode.
2. At the end of Continuum, when she wants to go and help the guy Ba'al had been possessing.
3. The treasure hunt at the start of season 9, it was fun.
4. Teasing Sam about sitting in Landry's chair in Intruders.
5. When she gives up her life (or they think she does) to stop the super-gate being formed.

Top 5 SGA eps (from mornincamper)

1. Daedalus Variations: because Teyla gets to be smart, and so does John, and John and Ronon get to save the day, and Rodney gets shot, which, frankly, is sometimes all I need to make me like an episode.
2. 38 Minutes: still my favourite season 1 episode. I like episodes where everyone's stuck in one place together.
3. First Contact: it was fun, and made me like Daniel. And, okay, then John and Radek nearly got blown up, but until then...
4. Phantoms: only episode with lots of Carson where I haven't wanted to slap him, and also, John and Teyla friendship, which is always good.
5. The Shrine: less so because it kicked off the stupid Keller/McKay storyline, but apart from that. I dunno, it had the team, and John and Rodney friendship, and the stargate in the water at the beginning was a gorgeous shot.

Top 5 pairings to read (from mornincamper - well, she said pairings or genre, but I picked one)

1. John/Cam: not quite my otp, but pretty close.
2. John/Ronon: I don't know why. They just fit.
3. David/Colby: not that anyone's writing it.
4. John/Rodney: I guess. More out of necessity, though I did love the pairing when I first got into SGA fandom - I started with ic and then moved to watching the show, rather than the other way around.
5. John/Cam/Lorne: not technically a pairing, and not very popular (actually, hmm, I don't think I've ever read any at all. How can that be? It's not possible that I'm the only person to have ever written them, someone must have links to someone else. Right? Anyone?)

Top five things to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon (from skieswidepen)

1. Read fic. It's why I get nothing done.
2. Watch Greenfingers on DVD. It's a perfect lazy afternoon film
3. Eat chocolate fingers. With tea, if it's cold.
4. Phone my mum. Sad but true.
5. Organise something online - my delicious tags, or my fic index, or whatever. Then I get to feel vaguely productive :o)

Top five favourite female characters (from any medium) (fromskieswideopen)

1. Lirael from Garth Nix's Abhorsen trilogy: she's a librarian and she saves the world, and she doesn't even get paired up with anyone at the end.
2. Kaylee from Firefly: because she's sweet and happy and a mechanic and sex-positive and I love her.
3. Cadman from SGA: critics be damned. She was cool.
4. Kayla from The Unit: also very cool and very in control and just generally awesome.
5. Keller from SGA: I don't care that half the fandom hates her, she was great. The romance sub-plot with her was stupid, but the character was great.

Top 5 places you'd like to go on holiday to (from ionaonie)

1. Reykjavik: though I might be hampered by my inability to spell it!
2. Montreal
3. Switzerland
4. Anywhere with native wild penguins
5. Cornwall.

Top five fictional characters you'd be happy had never existed/or had their existence snuffed out like a light (from ionaonie)

Ooh, that's hard, because if I got rid of them, how would things be different without them? Also because there aren't many characters I really hate that much.

1. Lucius Luvin, because SGA without his two episodes would have been totally fine, even it would have meant Kolya was still rattling around.
2. Kavanagh, because he could have been interesting, but he was just cardboard
3. Carson Beckett. He could have survived up to being blown up, but then he should have stayed blown up, however badly people wanted him back. Unless you're Daniel Jackson, once you're dead, you're dead. End of story.
4. Jude, from Jude The Obscure. I read that-at about page 50, he contemplates throwing himself into the lake, and the book would have been vastly improved if he had.
5. Pamela, from the book of the same name. Two hundred some pages of angst about having been kidnapped and wanting to leave, then when he lets her leave, she goes back to him and marries him. I mean, I'd rather the author had never existed, since he didn't seem to recognise that this was a bad thing, but my God. Also-possibly the most boring book in the world, and I include the telephone directory in that.

Top five foods (form angelofmercy)

1. Chocolate. Cliche but true.
2. Really salty corn chips.
3. Warm crunchy bread.
4. Jely beans.
5. Cous cous.

Top five scenes in shows you wish the writers had left out (from angelofmercy)

Now if you'd said 'top 5 scenes I wish the writers had *put in*,' it would have been a lot easier :o)

1. Every tacked-on-to-an-action film romance scene ever. Because it's not enough to save the world - you have to get a girlfriend as well, or you'll never be happy. Ever.
2. Rodney and Jennifer cuddling at the end of SGA season 5. Which is kind of related to point 1.
3. Rodney thanking Sam for being there when he was drowning. Way too awkward.
4. Teyla giving birth. What's wrong with it happening off screen once she's back on Atlantis?
5. Every scene where someone who was previously perfectly intelligent gets hit with a dumb stick for the purpose of the plot. Particularly every scene in Numb3rs where the FBI agents seem to have forgotten how to solve crime until Charlie tells them.

yes, sometimes I'm that shallow

Heh. I don't know if you've noticed, but I have recently developed an entire FANDOM mainly because the show has hot clothes. (Hi, Gossip Girl!) Sora is pretty and it's too bad she never returned.

David/Colby

Win!

(Teyla gave birth on screen? seriously?)
