There are people who write stories and stay in control of the plot and the characters and everything while they do it, right? Cos I need someone to teach me that.

Not least because the John/Cam rare pairings fic I'm working on is showing alarming signs of turning into John/Cam/Holland, which... I know it's rare pairings, but that's (a) kind of stupidly rare and (b) not actually what the prompt is.

Holland was supposed to be a five line 'here's why things are different' character, not keep turning up!

I can't tell you how many time Sheppard/Lorne tried to divert East/West, and I had to keep slapping them down.

Oh, I thought that was just me reading into something that wasn't there - I was so sure when they started the pilgrimage that Sheppard and Lorne would end up together.

hee! It was one of those forks in the road that I pondered over for weeks, but in the end I decided to keep Sheppard separate and essentially alone. It would have been a vastly different story if I'd let them drag me there.
