lgbtfest is here again! Quite possibly my favourite ficathon of the year, for writing about characters who are LGBT being LGBT. Go,
leave some prompts, if only because, right now, it feels like a lot of the prompts are coming out prmopts (could just be my perception) and it'd be nice to have some fic about what we do, you know, for the other 95% of our lives :)

But everyone else wants drama! and uncertainty! and ohnoes what if everyone rejects me! so I don't really think that anyone will write me that.

I suspect I shouldn't criticise, because I can't remember what prompts I left and so they may well be all drama! and conflict! but - I know it's an issues fest, but a little less with the 'it's all drama and tragedy and awfulness' would be nice. And I know the angst and the coming out make for a plotline where 'actually, I'm happy and drama-free being gay' doesn't but...
Okay, now I'm going to have to think up some happy prompts and leave them. I'd try for Gossip Girl for you, but I've never seen it.

Aw, sentiment appreciated. I'll probably leave enough GG prompts for everyone, so it's okay. :) And I'm going to have to work on some more positive prompts myself. I like yours, the Pride parade one is intriguing.

Definitely. It just bothers me that, in a fest that's all about being gay, everyone seems to equate gay with miserable because we're gay (though apparently that makes some people quite happy, since I got told this morning that by saying we need more happy prompts I'm invalidating all negative gay experiences and fears ever and should just go watch Will and Grace!)
