1. I'm not signing up for yuletide this year. I mention it here so that when I start wavering, one of you can remind me that I said I'm not. I'm way over-committed this year.

2. I am, however, signing up for sg-flyboys. I can't not! Which reminds me, I meant to ask if they'd include Lorne this year, and now it's too late. Next year (though I said that last year, and look how well that turned out!)

Deadlines list:
Cam Mitchell Ficathon fic - I know exactly where it's going, which might be why I'm not feeling much enthusiasm for writing it. But I'm not dropping out of my own ficathon, so that'll have to change! 2 Nov
Crossover exchange fic - it's going. I sort of know where it's going as well, which is nice :) 12 Nov
3-ships fic - no prompt yet 10 Dec
Sheppard HC exchange fic - I have no idea what I'm going to write for this! It's not even a bad prompt, I'm just....stuck 15 Dec
SGA Santa - no prompt yet 29 Dec

I was thinking of going the other way this year--signing up for Yuletide instead of sga_santa since I've never tried the former. But I've sworn I won't sign up until I'm finished with some of my other commitments.

You should give Yuletide a try, if you've got the time! I don't write enough small fandoms to participate, but you seem more flexible and diverse. And it's always a challenge :)

There are a couple of fandoms I'd be interested in for Yuletide. But I need to see if I have time. December's always a challenge with all the marking.

If we expand to include Lorne, shouldn't we also include Jack and Sam too? Jack was the original flyboy, after all, and Sam is the one who has canonically raced spaceships. *g*

But the question is whether sg_flyboys should conform to its name, or whether it is intended to be a John/Cam 'shipper thing.

I guess it is intended to be John/Cam - I think the idea came about from there being an increase in the number of people wiritng some combination of John/Cam/Lorne, so it was sort of logical to include him, while there aren't so many fics (I don't think) including one of the two and either Jack or Sam.

I don't know that that actually makes it any clearer, actually!

I've failed Yuletide twice, so am banned. And also feeling a little out-of-sorts as a result of everyone else's Yuletide squee.
