Inspiration

There's an anthology looking for 'swords and sorceressed' stories (original fiction) which I really want to write something for, but my brain is refusing to offer up any suggestions.

So I throw myself at your mercy: leave something in the comments (word, image, song, character name, whatever) that might inspire an idea.

And with all the ficathons around at the moment (own up, who still hasn't started their satedan_grabass fic?), maybe other people get helped out too. Or maybe you repost this in your journal for something you're stuck on, and it becomes one huge explosion of inspiration.

*cough* Okay, I've technically started it, but I may end up scrapping what I have so far because it's just too convoluted. *sigh*

Though what that could inspire, I have really NO idea.

I'm not sure either, but it sounds cool. Maybe a magical sword that kills ghosts and they have an infestation?

Or the sword itself is the ghost - cue one crazy-seeming warrior who wields it, as no one can see it...but they can see the people dropping dead from it. Heh - that amuses me, in my head.

I went to a war of the roses reenactment once but honestly, it doesn't seem to have helped me remember anything about it!
